CEDRIC (an ancient Druid)

As an ancient Druid, I look upon the sunrise as a powerful symbol of the cycle of life and death.

For us, the dawn represents a new beginning, a fresh start, and the opportunity to renew our connection to the natural world.

It is a time of magic and transformation, a time when the veil between the worlds is thinnest and we can access the spiritual realm more easily.

In the Celtic tradition, the sunrise is associated with the goddess Eostre, who represents fertility, growth, and new beginnings.

Her energy is at its strongest at dawn, and we honour her with rituals that celebrate the renewal of life and the coming of spring.

We also associate the sunrise with the god Lugh, who brings the light of wisdom and inspiration to our lives.

As Druids, we believe that the sunrise is a time of great power, when we can tap into the energies of the natural world and connect with the spirits of the land.

We use this time to set our intentions for the day, to offer prayers and gratitude to the spirits, and to connect with the elements of fire and air.

We also use the sunrise as a time of divination, when we seek guidance and insight from the spirits of the otherworld.

For us, the spiritual significance of the sunrise lies in its ability to inspire us to live our lives with purpose and meaning.

The dawn reminds us that each day is a gift and that we have the power to create our own destiny. It is a symbol of hope, of transformation, and of the eternal cycle of life, death, and rebirth.

As the sun rises, we stand in awe of the beauty and power of the natural world, and we give thanks for the blessings of life.

We honour the goddess and the god, and we offer ourselves in service to the earth and all its inhabitants.

For us, the sunrise is a sacred time, a time to connect with the divine and to renew our commitment to the path of the Druid.
