CHAPTER 4: THE SHERIFF'S DILEMMA.

Tex Striker had just arrived in a small town in the territory's heart.

Robberies and violent crimes had plagued the town, and the sheriff could not catch the culprit.

The townspeople were getting restless, and some were even talking about taking matters into their own hands.

The sheriff knew he needed Tex's help, but he also knew that it would be a risky move.

Tex had a reputation for being a tough lawman, and some of the townspeople were afraid of what he might do.

But the sheriff didn't have any other options.

He took Tex to his office and explained the situation.

Tex listened carefully to the sheriff's words.

He knew that this was a difficult situation, but he was determined to help.

"I'll do whatever it takes to catch these criminals," Tex said. "But we need to be careful. We don't want to cause any unnecessary trouble."

The sheriff nodded in agreement. "I trust you," he said. "But you need to be careful. Some people in this town are afraid of you."

Tex understood the sheriff's concerns.

He knew that his reputation as a tough lawman could intimidate some people.

But he also knew that he had a job to do.

Together, Tex and the sheriff worked to gather information about the crimes.

They talked to witnesses and gathered evidence, trying to piece together a picture of who might be behind the robberies.

It wasn't easy, but eventually, they could identify a suspect.

It was a man named David who had recently moved to town and was involved in shady business dealings.

Tex and the sheriff set a trap for David, waiting for him to make his move.

When he did, Tex was ready.

He caught David in the act and took him into custody.

The townspeople were relieved that I had caught the criminal, and they praised Tex for his bravery and skill.

The sheriff was grateful, too, and he thanked Tex for his help.

Tex knew that there were still more outlaws out there, waiting to be caught.

But for now, he was happy that he had brought some peace to the troubled town.
