Once again there is a certain degree of optimism in the air, the numbers seem to be trending toward better times for all of us. This pandemic is more than 2 years old and many of us are losing patience. I sense that young people especially have had enough of this and that the time has come to move on.

People in my age group have become shut-ins, we rarely see our close ones, in my case I can see my sons one at a time once per day. I have seen my 3 sisters, (all in Montreal) only once in the past 2 years, the same applies to the other members of the large Griffin clan.

Because of the effect that this situation has had on our school system, many of our children have been hurt by the lack of social activities with their friends and schoolmates. We may not have observed this but the mid and long-term effects may come later. Because of the absence of team sports many of those in our younger generation these healthy events, I often wonder what the long-term effects will be

We can only hope and pray that things will somehow return to normality, really that time has come..
