Shimmering Seawater
December 28, 2025 at 2:44:00 a.m.

Shimmering seawater wakes with the sun,
A skin of silver stretched thin and wide,
Each ripple a breath the morning takes,
Each flash a secret the tide can’t hide.
Shimmering seawater dances in bands,
Blue turns to green, then glass-clear white,
Light skips stones across the waves,
Teaching the day how to begin with light.
Shimmering seawater holds its calm,
Even when winds rehearse their schemes,
It remembers moons and distant storms,
And keeps them folded inside its gleams.
Shimmering seawater fades to dusk,
Gold dissolving into ink and star,
Still glowing soft with borrowed fire,
A mirror for who we are and who we were.
