MY LIGHT DOTH SHINE
Oh, glorious orb of light and warmth divine,That doth the veil of night from Earth unbind,And with thy rays so pure and bright, combine,To heal and soothe the troubled, restless mind.
Thou art a balm to hearts that heavy beat,And bringeth solace to the troubled soul,Dispelling shadows with thy gentle heat,And making sad thoughts flee beyond thy goal.
The light that pours from thee, doth gently kiss,The earth below, with soft and healing rays,And fill the heart with hope and joyful bliss,As thou dost usher in the day with grace.
The birds that sing, and flutter in thy light,Do lift the spirit with their happy song,And banish every dark and dreary fright,That hath oppressed the soul the whole night long.
Oh sunrise fair, thou art the healer's balm,And bringeth solace to the troubled heart,Thou art the dawn of hope, that doth disarm,The deepest wounds that doth the soul impart
In thee we find a promise of new day,A fresh beginning and a hopeful start,As thou dost chase the night and fears away,And fill the soul with courage and with heart.
So let us rise and greet thee with glad cheer,And let thy light and warmth our hearts renew,For in thy gentle glow, we find a clear,And steadfast hope, that doth our souls imbue.
Thus, we extol thy virtues and thy grace,Oh sunrise fair, that doth the heart inspire,And with thy gentle warmth and tender pace,Doth bring to us the peace that we desire
